so.. the HK trip....

so.. i have finally gotten myself bored enough to write out what the HK trip was alllllll about... so here it goes:

Date: 8th November 2006
Day: 1

8am: Took off in a Cathay Pacific plane to head to Hong Kong
12pm: Arrived in Hong Kong after a 4 hour squeeze in a L shaped chair with hundreds of other people in a rolled up piece of metal that can fly thanks to technology and physics.
1+pm: Arrived at hotel, the Metropark! formerly known as Concourse.
2+pm: Finally checked into hotel rooms. And damn, i got a room that was inhibited by a smoker who smoked in the room and stank up the whole room with a nauseating stench of Hong Kong cigarettes.
3+pm: Went out for a walk as we were to meet up at 5pm with the rest of the families arriving in a later plane. Nothing much intersting happened here, we witnessed a fight just outside the hotel though, some cyclist delivery guy was knocked over by another cyclist and the delivery guy wasn't too happy about the food being spilled all over on the road. And they thus they started their argument. The delivery guy looked really pissed too! woot, but they werent fighting, so that aint so bad i guess, but that's a little bit of action on the first day in HK!
5pm: finally met up with the rest of the tour group and off we went to dinner at some place with a sign that said "ling yu men". after dinner, we went off to take a boat ride, and damn, i think i had a bit too much to eat, and the boat was swaying a bit too much for my liking, felt a bit sick, and the camera wasnt too good at taking pictures at night. On the boat we saw lightings and lasers on the buildings. The buildings look just like mega gigantic christmas cards or something, the whole side of the building was lighted up with lights in the shape of santa clause and the words merry christmas, haha, that was pretty cool.

Time forgotten: So after that boat ride, off we went to Victoria's Peak! We had to take a tram up to the peak at an abusrd angle of 45 degrees, pretty cool ride and nice view of the city from there. fter a while we finally arrived, and i took a picture with James Bond(pierce brosnan) \0/ well.. a wax figure of him anyway.. but that's better than nothing!!! After that quick stop with pierce brosnan, we went up to the top and we had the magnificent view of the city at night. It was pretty pretty pretty pretty. I shall post a picture of the city lights.

Pretty huh? I even took a picture with the moon in it! yay, i had to keep soooo still while taking a picture at night using that camera to catch all the light, that was such a hard task, and it was so damned crowded!! oh well, at least i got some nice picture! yay!

and so.. here ends Day 1 of the hong kong trip. :D
